1.      Clinical Pathology: Our experienced team performs complete blood counts (CBC), blood chemistry panels, urinalysis, and other diagnostic tests to help veterinarians assess the overall health of their patients.

2.      Microbiology: We specialize in identifying and characterizing bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites, aiding in the diagnosis of infectious diseases and guiding treatment decisions.

3.      Imaging Services: Our laboratory is equipped with advanced imaging technology, including digital radiography and ultrasound, to assist in the diagnosis of musculoskeletal, abdominal, and cardiac conditions.

4.      Cytology: Our Vets and with the help of our lab technician analyze cellular samples to diagnose tumors, infections, and inflammatory conditions, providing valuable information for treatment planning.

5.      Molecular Diagnostics: In Partnership with IDEXX UK using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and other molecular techniques, we detect genetic mutations, pathogens, and other biomarkers to assist in the diagnosis of genetic disorders and infectious diseases.

Our Laboratory Equipment

Gene Fred B. Jambaro

Gene Fred B. Jambaro is a Filipino native who has come all the way to join us as a dedicated Lab Technician at The Cat Vet since April 2021.

Gene holds a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology from Iloilo Doctors’ College and specialises in endoscopy, which allows him to explore the internal anatomy of cats and detect the root causes of symptoms. Gene’s personal interests include collecting sneakers, playing video games, discovering new food spots, and general fitness workouts.
