Dr. Luisa Coelho
Meet Dr. Luisa Coelho – the Clinical Director at The Cat Specialist Veterinary Clinic, the first and only feline-exclusive clinic within the UAE. With over a decade of experience in Europe and the UK, Dr. Luisa provides expert care and consultations for complex internal medicine cases on a second opinion/referral basis.
Dr. Luisa holds a membership at the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (MANZCVS) as a practitioner of feline medicine. The membership is an official post-graduation qualification recognised by the International Society for Feline Medicine (ISFM). It is a testament to Dr. Luisa’s professional excellence, knowledge and competence in feline medicine, which is recognised with high regard in the medical field, as well as by the general public. Dr. Luisa is also a member of the ISFM Academy of Feline Practitioners, contributing to the global development of feline practice and welfare.
Dr. Luisa holds additional qualifications and vast experience in diagnostic ultrasound and has recently completed the ISFM Advanced Certificate in Feline Behaviour. An advocate for continuous learning and mentorship, Dr. Luisa has mentored aspiring MANZCVS candidates and guided practitioners facing challenging feline cases. She has conducted informal in-house training sessions abroad, sharing her expertise and knowledge.
